A question about donations

I've heard people mentioning about items and things that you can get from donations, for example, when Dave mentioned about the MOLLE vests.

I was wondering how you get those items through the donation screen? As there doesn't seem to be an option for them on the actual character donation screen where the stat and credit donations are.

Generally you need to message Dave or another person that handles them about it, and then when promoted you add it on the donation screen for the other/generous donations section I believe. The items have to be spawned by an admin then and given to your character. Not that you usually require something equivalent or enough credits to trade for the donated item. For example, you need a 'full' rebel vest to trade for a MOLLE, on top of the (I believe) $40. Same goes for most weapons, if you buy an Assault Rifle for $60 you'll probably have to trade for an Assault Rifle or several thousand credits. Generally CP characters do not have this same requirement.
