A highly unusual problem...

So I've been having this issue for a while now but now it's getting on my nerves so much so that I tried to fix it, to no avail I need help.

Normally Garry's mod/Source engine uses locations in the maps preset by the map dev to play ambient sound effects, well for me, they buggered up and play COMPLETELY RANDOM sounds, often not fitting or annoying but this one, boy oh boy this one is different. If I go to sewer entrance I hear a dog barking, which is incredibly loud and obnoxious, if I leave the area expecting the ambient sound to stop it continues, stopsound in console doesn't work and I have to rejoin to reset the ambient sounds. So I went to my Gmod files and deleted every single file with the name 'Dog' 'Bark' and listened to every sound file with the name 'idle' in it to find the dog barking, I couldn't find it, and after deleting the dog bark sounds it still does it.

Lord help me I feel like I'm going to massacre anything of the canine variety.

think this has something to do with another map's soundscapes overriding the default ones. i recall darkdolina doing this to almost every map and adding cat noises for example

deleting the scripts folder in your garrysmod folder should fix it
