My picture (which I have changed back), was reset without warning. I'd just like to know if this was an admin or a glitch. I don't want to offend anyone.
 
That doesn't really happen randomly, if that answers your question.
 
It feels suspicious knowing that as soon as your picture was reset, you immediately made a thread because it involved your profile picture having a confederate flag.

How? I just wanted to know if I broke a rule, or someone made a complaint on me.
 
Do you really think the confederate flag is not racist? I am baffled that someone could be deluded enough to insist they don't want to offend anyone and also switch their picture back to the confederate flag.

I don't believe it's any more racist than anything else, and I don't like offending people personally. Although you have to expect people to be offended when you wave the flag around.
 
I'm all for expressing yourself freely, and some people aren't like that around the community, unfortunately. However, out of all the versions of Confederate flags, you're using the "battle flag", which was flown once the civil war ended. However, it was never officially adopted as an actual battle flag of the Confederacy.

Then again, the Klu Klux Klan is also said to have used the flag in the 40s and 50s. Definitely not something you'd want to associate with.

I say if you're using it to honor a late relative who was a Confederate, then I don't see what the big deal is. Otherwise, you may as well change it if people are going to get offended.

The KKK flies their own flag, as well as the US flag. What's your point? The Confederate flag, and any form of it, is inflammatory, especially to the main demographics of this community. I love it, but you gotta be willing to accept the heat that comes with it.

Come on, guy. It's trivial to find the quotes from the Confederate President and others stating pretty explicitly their state existed to defend slavery. Here are just a few I found after a quick google.

Even if that weren't the case, though, most of the people proudly displaying the Confederate flag as of 2016 are avowed racists.

i don't know why but i literally do not have permission to change it anymore and this one was only for like a 2 week joke

I'm not going to argue with you, because I won't stop once I've started. If you really want to yell at me, and call me a racist, do it over PM's, or steam, where the cancer won't be on display for the whole community.

Hi everyone I want to make a useless thread to ask for something following failures of directly asking on the shoutbox and sending PMs when I could just ask nicely in a semi-related thread that has since been resolved before it get locked.

Personally, I'm not arsed about the confederate flag, but if someone else is then they can request for the photo to be removed.

Why are you so set on having that as your avatar, anyway?

I don't listen to the fuckin' media. This flag ain't racist and I stick to that. The KKK can fly whatever they want, that doesn't change my pride.

If people find this offensive, they're just blind. Next time someone takes it down, tell me. Until warned, it stays.

also ur not making a stand for keeping something that people find offensive or anything its not that deep just realise that if you're going to use something slightly controversial that you're going to have someone complain at some point ya dig
