Weird problem on TRP.

Just downloaded all the packs off the server downloads list, 1 2 and 3. Then went to join the server. After awhile I got in, hopped on one of my characters and.. I couldn't see other playermodels and my camera angle was sitting nearly underground. I can see the map perfectly fine, and I can see players' packs, which helps me indicate where they are. Otherwise, I can't tell whats going on..

If there are any hidden downloads which I'm also supposed to grab, or if this is some sort of one and a million bug.. Please tell me. Thanks.

Odd, have you tried making a new character? I'd say rejoin/restart gmod, but i think you've probably tried it by now.

I'd recommend clearing out everything you just downloaded and re-download it. Other than the obvious restart your pc/steam/gmod I can't offer anything else.

Uh... If you installed it correctly I really wouldn't subject yourself to this just yet.


Wait for a few more replies before deciding, server gets worth joining in about 8 hours time. Go through your addons and look for anything that might be conflicting with the files you downloaded. Clear out your addons if it's got a lot of stuff, just remove what you don't use.


When you say you can't see the player models, are they invis, or red errors?

When you installed the megapacks, how did you do it? Did you put them in gmod/gmod, or gmod/addons?

The individual folders (Materials, models) are meant to go in gmod/gmod, and merge with the folders of the same name there.
