Okay, so basically, my computer is amazing and runs gmod at 300 fps on every other server I'm on.

I connect to S1 and...

1. I crash 4 out of 5 times I attempt joining

2. If I don't crash off the bat, my entire game will freeze up less then 30 minutes before im ingame

3. Everyone is either invisible, or a floating head or gun, sometimes

4. I lag like crazy sometimes

5. parts of the map dissapear into oblivion sometimes

I only experience these problems on TnB. I don't have problems running any other game or joining any other gmod server. what do, tnb?

Also my video card drivers are updated.

Sounds like a memory problem.
Or well, at least I had the same problem and the game was crying about lack of memory.

Why don't you just switch to TS2 already? It's stable enough, and I doubt anyone is going to do much more to it in the near future.

Flags, I think, are the main reason, as is the lack of currency.

Flags are built in (even has combine flags and player flags separate). Currency isn't hard to add, if you don't use one of the versions floating around with it already built in even.

That's stupid considering everyone has dirty admin money, so there's no reason for currency anyways.

simply addition to the f3 area in cl_hud.lua and player_vars/SQL. as if hl2rp needs currency anyways.

also, player_flags.lua????

Hate to say pieman, but I think you may want to try reinstalling Garry's mod. Sounds like the only way to fix it.

Agreed with Yoyo. Well, not even Garry's Mod. Back up all your non-steam games on a hard disk, then reinstall your OS. It clears up so much memory, and does wonders for any glitch in any games you have, when you install them fresh. It should also help your RAM, as it won't be gobbled up by the pie-eating programs.

tisen and I were having the same problems. not as bad as pieman, but the game would just lag insanely. Not bandwidth rubberbanding lag, but when on s1 (not TRP or any other TS2 based servers) the game would freeze up for just a full 3 seconds, go for half a second, then freeze up again. For like an hour it stopped then it went for an hour, and when I left and rejoined a hour or two later, same problem

this shit happened to me too.

but i thought it might've just been my router because my console was being flooded with corrupted packet flows

I literally can't join at all anymore.
