So, recently, I made my game look really fucking snazzy, all thanks to Zippo.

I'm going to spread the love around, and show the awesome creation that Zippo, and Fruitrocket made.

This'll make your game look fucking really cool, and I even made a video showcasing of what it would like walking around city seventeen, you have to try it out for yourself to really know how cool it is.

    Instructions:

Go to this website, and download what's in the picture below.

After you've done that, open up the rar.

You should see this : [IMG]

Go ahead and navigate to : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\GarrysMod

Put the following files within the 'bin' folder,

    Injector.ini
    Dxgi.dll
    d3d9.dll

The rest of the items within, just put them in the GarrysMod folder.

It should look something like this.

After, that, you need to navigate to : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Half-Life 2

You'll repeat the process, and put the following within the 'bin' folder

    Injector.ini
    Dxgi.dll
    d3d9.dll

    After that,

you'll put the rest of the items within the rar folder inside the regular Half-Life 2 folder, like you did for the Garry's Mod Path.

    Should look like this after.

After you've got that sorted, you should be good to go!

IMPORTANT!!! : Copy and paste the RAW data from this Pastebin, and replace the SweetFX_settings inside with the ones within the pastebin.

When you're in game, turn off AA ( Anti-Aliasing )

To toggle it on and off, hit Scroll Lock, it's located right above your arrow keys.

To take screenshots, you need to print screen, the pictures will show up in the normal Garry's Mod folder, not your screenshots folder.

Another tip, you should set your launch options for Garry's Mod,

Libary < Garry's Mod < Properties < Set Launch Options < -windowed -noborder

I always wanted Garry's Mod to look like Doom 3.

Why would you want it so dark?

My computer unnecessarily darkens the actual photo, for some reason.

The only dark places are the obvious dark corners of the map where there's no light, even then. Flashlights cover you most of the time, makes everything look gloomy.

The mod itself just makes the game look so much more cinematic.

We're gonna be tweaking the files a little bit more, to make feel good for everyone.

Of course, you can tamper with the files yourself.

Then a touch of in-game color correction.

No injectors, no workarounds for screenshots, same effect.

That's an easy alternative, however - SweetFX sharpens and darkens different parts of a scene, and making it look like something out of a movie.

And from what I know, I'm pretty sure you need to manually adjust it back everytime you want your game to look like that.

Correct if I'm wrong on that one.

    Here's a before and after,

You don't need to download this, but it's for those who're interested. I for one think it looks really cool, especially on the canals.

Bumping because it was linked earlier

@jules Do you by chance know/remember what the fps offset of using this was? I'm already walking a fine line with my computer as it lags out frequently but this looks dope as fuck.

You can probably get the same effects with tweaking post process settings. I downloaded a bunch of presets from this guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=440160657

I use the "Gate to a Bright Land" or "Kaiju Attack" for Color Modifcation
I use "Wild and Fresh" for Bloom.
It does make the game look way better than downloading some sketchy dll files.
