Small tutorial for how to use the Stream Radio tool, apologies I sound like a fuckin' nerd.

I've been using .pls addresses for internet radio stations because I was too dumb to figure this out

I maintain a fairly sizeable database of streamable mp3s for my personal use, but you can access it here: http://107.191.44.160/mp3/

I have plenty of bandwidth so if you want me to add anything hit me up on SF or shoot me a PM. I'm not going to rip all your mp3s for you though so do that first and shoot them to me in an archive via dropbox or another host.

There's some stuff on here that will get you in trouble if you play it at a bad time so use your head. Actually be smart in general. Don't be playing Motorhead in a restaurant on the plaza.

The advantage of having a quick-access FTP at your fingertips for streaming is that you don't have to pause for 5 minutes while you find the song you want on youtube and re-rip it every time, plus these download sites often keep the links up for no longer than 5 or so minutes so anyone who enters a scene after that won't hear it.

So can I just paste links like this: http://107.191.44.160/mp3/oldies/ into the radio and it'll play or what?

I usually use mixtape.moe links but i have to keep putting the radio down again or else i'll just loop one song.

No idiot it has to be one of the mp3s. RIght click on the mp3 and copy link address

Well, all you need to do is right click and view source, at that point ctrl+f for "archive.org/download" you should find a link that looks like this:
https://archive.org/download/OTRR_Gunsmoke_Singles/Gunsmoke_52-04-26_001_Billy_the_Kid.mp3

That can be used with stream radio, this method works with most of archive.org's audio section.
