Small Worry with Alan Bernard

There's been a small messup involving S1 and S2. All my characters were suddenly accessible from both servers, except that Alan couldn't be selected in S1. I asked Xeanos to transfer my characters back and forth, but it still didn't work. Is there something wrong, or can I fix this by finding a canal map with a transition point in S2?
