"Extra! Extra! Read all about it!" Screams the young paperboy. "New pictures, fresh from the war! Cease fire underway!" Little did the boy know, mere hours after this picture was taken even more lives were lost a the end of this cease fire.
The headline reads: New advancements in the war! GIs happier than ever! Cease Fire!

Sergeant Maverick Stark, 1st Company, 4th Squad.
During the Tet Offensive, Stark incited his comrades to turn on their officers before being rescued from the jungle. He was court marshaled as a deserter and a traitor in the following spring. He was sentenced to death on March 6th, 1968.
we were on the move to search for the last pilot this side of 'nam

on the move to rescue the pilot (again)

Hidden under one of the bunks in squad 1's housing area is a box. Inside of that box, Polaroid pictures. The box has 'Parker" written on it in black marker.
Only one of them are written on, almost like the person who took them only had the time to write on one.
The rest after that, are just pictures. Pictures that were left by that person. Why? Who knows.
** No more were found, and neither was Parker. A kid too young to know why he was fighting, or even taking these pictures. He was weird, too weird to ever get into dating or anything of the like. He didn't know what a family was, and he was his mother's only child. Someone had told him to get into a life of photography, after one of his pictures of the platoon had made it on the front page of the New York Times! For his final hours he knew what his life meant for him after the war. He'd seen some shit, heard some things. Talked to some people. Nothing had prepared him for what he faced that day, or the men he would meet. He made some good friends, some top people. Parker was only eighteen years old, in the shadow of adulthood. This was his life as an adult. **
Sergeant Alejandro Delacruz and Sergeant Thomas Healy.
After being honorably discharged, Delacruz found work in real estate and housing development. By the early eighties, he was his company's top seller for commercial properties.
Police found several illegal firearms and over 14 kilograms of narcotics at his penthouse in Los Angeles. He was allegedly found guilty for over fifteen murders during the 1980s.
He was killed in a heated shootout with local police, claiming the lives of three bystanders, and thirteen police officers. The event closed the nightclub for four years, reopening in 1991.
He is survived by his two sons. Both refused to comment.
Private Samuel King of 1st Company, 4th Squad took part in a desertion plot formed by Sergeant Maverick Stark. After his rescue he was promptly court-martialed and served time in prison. Upon his release in 1973 he set off on a borrowed motorcycle to search for the remnants of 4th squad with all that he had, outcast by his biological family for many reasons. One such reason being his theft of a valued 1966 Harley-Davidson Sprint H and bag's worth of wadded mattress money after an argument with them.
He's survived by a daughter and son, birthed by his wife of asian descent. They have stated that "no matter how much adventure he might experience or who he reconnects with, he'll never be able to forget those misunderstood men from that goddamned land all those years ago.."
