Problem with Garry's Mod

I recently reinstalled Windows. I am using Windows 7 64-bit and I have reinstalled Garry's Mod and a few other games and the TnB megapacks.

Ever since the first time I tried to boot up Garry's Mod, I've been getting a message saying "STEAM APPS NOT FOUND" or something similar. After that, I got an error saying the following:
"gameoverlayui.exe
(buildbot_winslave04_steam_steam_rel_client_win32@winslave...
has stopped working. Check online/close program etc."

I've verified the game files and loaded up Half Life 2.

I'll try and make sure all the other Source games (CSS, HL) games load tomorrow.

Please, any suggestions are appreciated.

delete clientblob.reg or whatever that shit is.

restart steam.

restart steam and verify and try again.

delete clintreg.blob or whatever that shit is. restart steam. try again.

all i had to do was restart steam to rid of the steamapps shit.

I'm getting this SAME exact error! I restarted steam and it worked, but when I left gmod and tried again, I got the error. Then again when I restarted steam, etc.
