RANDOM ROLEPLAY
EPISODE I
BACKBURN

In the latter days of the ongoing Clone Wars the Confederacy of Indepoendent Systems (CIS) are planning to stage an assault on the Core System, the hub of The Republic and her democracy. Their success relies on the unassuming planet of Lanlar, which located on the rim of the Core System. The CIS hope to use the planet as an initial staging area for their massive droid armies to allow for a synchronized assault across the various Core Worlds, each home to trillions of Republic citizens.

The planet of Lanlar is an agricultural giant. Its entire surface is dedicated to growing various all-year-round crops. Its ideal proximity to the Core Worlds makes The Republic its largest export partner. Lanlar's advantageous trading position with Republic Core Worlds allows the planet to survive outside of The Republic as an independent system of its own. This also makes it a target. Its vast undeveloped pastures and Core World proximity are ideal for the CIS to stage their huge droid armies. Blockading the planet will also create noticable food shortages, further pressuring The Senate into negotiating terms with The CIS in an already costly war.

In response to this move The Senate has deployed the newly commissioned 609th Legion to Lanlar. Their mission: Deny the CIS a footing in the Core System and crush their armies. The 609th is led by a cadre of experience Clones and have also been assigned a small team of Jedi: One Jedi Master General, three Knights and their Padawans. The Republic's military presence on the independent system of Lanlar has been met with mixed responses from her people. The Senates deployment of the 609th is very much at their own behest. Lanlar's democratic government has little say in the The Republic's deployment yet have agreed to pledge their hastily conscripted planetary militia to the mutual cause of defending Lanlar from an invasion.

OOC:
Previous suggestion threads for a Star Wars RR only pointed vaguely at a general era without actually providing a scenario or story to play out. Some people wanted Clone Wars, others wanted Imperial era, some want Jedi, others do not. Whats different about this is that it shall be the first thread to my knowledge that actually commits a story to writing. Much like the movies, the RR will be episodic. Each "episode" will take place over a weekend. Each episode will hopefully cater to everyones favourite era and aspects of the Star Wars universe/timeline. This is just the first of possibly three episodes.

There will essentially be four factions:
Planetary Militia/Populace: Anyone can play one, this is the main faction
Clones: Large amount of players, this is a main faction
Droids: Anyone can play one, they are more to create conflict than actual RP
Jedi: Very select few, only 7 in total

This is something I'd love to see. Always loved Star wars, and its criminal we haven't done anything with it yet at TnB.

missed opportunity to make the text look yellow like the intro roll.

I'm down for it

I used a crawl creator and made my own for flavour but while writing this I had loads of tabs open and I accidentally closed the finished product :(

It was basically that but waaaaaaaay more condensed

yeah this looks like a fun RR, im a sucker for science fiction

just watched episode IX and i dont wanna brag or get you all too hyped but i think this will be better...

im assembling some workshop stuff rn. If anyone knows where i can find some good alien bodygroups for heads for character customization or some jedi robe bodygroups that'd be cool

this would be so sick

seven jedi is pretty steep though even for clone wars era, if you wanna even have jedi at all

to help with the scale of jedi because the movies dont do it justice:

there were 10,000 jedi during the clone wars. there were millions to billions of clones depending on who you ask.

a single jedi can sway the outcome of a battle. having 7 basically guarantees a win.

its 1 master, 3 knights and their 3 padawans

its 1 master, 3 knights and their 3 padawans
take out the master and i could believe it.

jedi masters are the WMDs of jedi. every single one ever seen does crazy shit.

an example of how op they are: The Battle of Bothawui, Jedi Master Belth Allusis

this is against entire armies of human troopers and countless sith. now imagine how they'd fair against B-1s
