so i live in a redneck town full of redneck people and our redneck power company has power outages at least three times a week for a few hours in the mornings. i usually sleep through these, but if i leave my computer on sleep mode it obviously fucks a lot of things up.

it hasn't really been noticeable until now wherein my sound is all fucked up - everything else on my PC that i can tell works fine, but i have no sound whatsoever and my PC insists i have no sound devices installed (which i do.)

i've uninstalled/reinstalled my devices through device manager, but nothing so far. any pointers?

running windows 10 64-bit

I had a similar issue while trying to get an old microphone to work. Apparently re installing your computers sound card is the way to fix it. No idea how to do that though.

E: forgive typos I'm on my phone.

lol my sound card is integrated

i guess i'll try and re-install my motherboard drivers?

try looking up something along the lines of "no audio devices are installed windows 10" if you already haven't.

i'm almost certain you'll find something.

already did but a lot of the proposed solutions didn't work for me

i'm reinstalling my audio drivers manually rn, here's to hoping

do you feel my pain now?

a year of no sound on my laptop has been lifted and the curse has been passed on to you.

i'm gonna try that

also bear how did you fix your audio problem
