Killzone

I can see the hardware in my computer being outdated fairly soon and I was wondering if you could tell me what would most likely would need to be checked out first by the time all the next big releases come out. Heres a few system spec's

Graphics card: GTX 550 Ti
RAM: 8gb ddr3
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10 ghz

looks like your fine to me? maybe an upgraded GPU but that's it... lol? just because the big bad bulldozers and i7's are more popular doesnt mean you need them, games aren't utilizing them or high ram in full yet so why waste your time, or money?

Agreed. If improving is that important to you, get a 2500k and overclock that baby. Otherwise, don't worry about it and save your money for something else.

gtx 590 and sandry bridge 2500k master race here. why not sli that 560 and become the number 1 in your neighborhood? like fatal said, maybe an upgraded gpu and possibly a new cpu. WHY NOT BUILD A NEW COMPUTER ME MATE.

You already have a lot of power for gaming. Upgrading from this point would be a marginal increase at best and you'd really be burning away your cash.
Don't upgrade.

surprisingly running his 550 ti in SLI would be relatively cheap and it would double his FPS performance at first glance, I havnt done anything more than just glance at it but im actually shocked that he would get that much of a boost, im used to seeing a 15 or 20 fps jump with SLI or xfire and instead im seeing around 30-40 with these cards, if anything i'd do that.

and deejay stop buying new cards when they're 800$, it's fucking stupid

with sli I thought it was very game dependent on whether you get your sli's money's worth

Your computer is more than fine. Though you didn't list your hard drive setup. A RAID0 or an SSD could be an option. Could do what I do and put your OS on an SSD and have a RAID0 setup for everything else. Fast boot times for the OS and fast load times in pretty much everything.

SLI/crossfire can be fairly worthless at times too, a double price for a 15% performance boost...

The only thing you might wanna upgrade is your CPU. But even then it's unnecessary considering it's for gaming.
Have you tried overclocking? If you wanna increase performance that'd be the first thing to try, maybe invest in some improved coolers.
You really need to give more info though in the first place.
