new player, basic help needed (location of files to install etc)

hey there, new, seen server name and i loved stalker, all 3 of them, + book, including Oblivion lost for vanilla :D

anyways, back to business.

its about the S.T.A.L.K.E.R DarkRP server you have on gmod :)

got TNPpack 1,2 and 3, Stalker_Content and RP_Stalker....

not quite sure where to put them. (steam modding is new area to me xS)

still, map must'v been in the right spot since i can connect now.

but now im getting pink + black walls, invisi players, sky not rendering and just copying anything that was looked at, etc etc...

any help?

telling me where to place the files first might help a ton :)

Open up the .rar file and extract all the folders in it to: Steam\steamapps\<yourname>\garrysmod\garrysmod

The files should go directly into your garrysmod\garrysmod folder. You just drag across the maps sounds materials etc folder over and into it, from the archive. You'll know you've done it right when it asks you if you wish to overwrite something.

Or, if you don't want to contaminate /models/ and /materials/, you could make up a new info.txt and put it all in addons.

I mean, besides the useless bullshit that you'll have to download regardless.

If you see prop errors, you need srp_darkdolina_v3

I just forgot to pack in some of these props to the rp_stalker zip because im lazy :(

Just know that this isn't a DarkRP server. You had a look around in the forums? There're plenty of guides about why we're different from other communities.
