Mouse Lag. Need help, lads.

Just yesterday in the evening while playing Garrysmod, I suddenly get a lag spike. Then every time I turn my mouse it lags for all my source games. So I left it alone for an entire day and play other games. Now all my games lag when I move my mouse.

I'm afraid it may be my motherboard frying up again, and this is my third one I went through. I've tried everything, lads. Any assistance?
 
If it's only source games I doubt it's a hardware issue.
 
Un-fortunately yesterday it was only source games, today it's every single video game.

I'm afraid it may be my motherboard or video card, so I may have to go on LOA which I really hate to until I get this solution resolved. Unless anyone has some solutions?
 
Okay, so I tried a view non steam games I own like DayZ Commander and STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl. Both games ran fine, and I get proof it.

DayZ Commander ran as fine as it is usual, but when I tried Arma 2 and OA, they give the mouse lag. Then I used my non steam version of SoC and it ran absolutely fine, then I played Clear Sky and it gave a mouse lag.

So my conclusion is it's not a hard-ware issue, which I'm relieved. But it's a steam problem. I believe it may just be updating very slow, or something is happening so I may just try and tamper with steam and see what's the problem. Anyone who can offer assistance will be more than appreciated, as I would like to get back roleplaying with everyone.
 
If you end up having to reinstall steam, you should be able to save your steamapps folder so you dont need to download several hundred TB of stuff.
 
Had to end up doing a system restore since re-installing steam didn't work, so far it is working.

We'll see how long it lasts, but I have to re-download everything.
