Merging old an old account

I couldnt remember my old account info so I just made a new account, now I've retrieved my old account info but want to use this account, it's name and the email attached to it.

Is there any way to merge forum accounts after an account has been created or do I need to request a name change on this account, change the email and deattach my steam profile just to switch to my old account?

I would have reset the info and merged it when I created this account but I was mistaken about which email I had used.
