hl2.exe has stopped working

Every server I joined it crashes and says hl2.exe has stopped working on Gmod, Im getting angry now, I need help please.

Standard procedure for Gmod
-Clear out addons
-Clear out garrysmod/garrysmod folder
-Reinstall Gmod
-Complain to Garry idk wut

Dude, after months of dealing with the problem over and over again, I realized something:
1st Step: Delete your whole GMod folder, then re-install it.
2nd Step: DO NOT NOT NOT INSTALL USELESS SKINS, TEXTURES NOR ADDONS. This worked perfectly for me and does currently.

I understand, But when I download the megapacks, It just says hl2.exe has stoppped working on certain servers I like, Like for example, S3 of HL2RP, Ill try playing the map on singleplayer, But there is alot of other servers that say this and it's annoying.

Lol, But it be nice if I can just make a simple fix instead of Deleting, EVERYTHING, and having to reinstall it, And the download everything again. :( BTW ima be gone for a week tommorow, Taking a trip to Colorado :D
