I know how to run as Administrator, its easy as could be..

But what I can't figure out how to do is run it as administrator, without it asking me "Do you want to run this as administrator?" seeing that question pop-up kills the overlay on my non-steam games.

e: Figured out how, and still my overlay is not working. Why does administrator kill that?
e2: So yeah, P much just.. Why doesn't steam overlay work when using administrator?

It's really simple:
Open your command prompt(run it as administrator, right click it to select)
Next, type:
net users Administrator /active:yes
If you did everything like I just said it should have said "operation performed succesfully" or something similar.

Log out and you'll see that you have a new account named "Administrator", this is sort of the highest clearance account that exists and automatically runs everything as administrator without ever having to click "do you want to blah blah"
I use it too, it's awesome.

(of course the downside is that you have to use a new account, but you get my point)

It'd still be the same thing, I already used an alternative and the steam overlay is still not working. I think administrative running is causing it.

Right click the shortcut, properties, advanced, click ''always run as administrator'', I have windows 7 and that and everything works fine

I know how to run as Administrator.. Re-Read ;P

The overlay does work for me and I'm using the Adminstrator account(so it runs everything as administrator), so yeah, might be something else.

Thats odd.. I have to say its.. well, one is fallout, but its not bought on steam as I can't buy games online. And the other is Dead Island, so.. I'unno if it has to do with it that they're usually steam games but.

It might, don't really know tbh.
