Has TRP completely restarted?

I connected to the TRP server and it asked me the questions when you first join, e.g "Do you need guns to roleplay here?" I entered them all, then found that I needed to make a unique name, I entered my old name, that did not work, it would not do anything after I clicked "register" I then entered a new name, clicked register. That did not work either. So I was wondering if the server had completely restarted, or if it was just me. The map is rp_canals_final_fix.

Sounds like it might be a MySql (or whatever its called) problem.

yeah. sql isnt connected, reboot should resolve it.

Happens sometimes, just needs restarting and its fixed.

Sounds like SQL timing out after long periods of inactivity. Think 6 hours is the default? Don't hold me to that, though.

This happened to ERP. If no one plays on the server for long enough it does some wierd crap like this.

Actually, its exactly what happened to ERP. Everyone lost interest (for some reason ???) and went to the next best thing.

My, what a great post.

I hope you realize this isn't the first time TRP's population has dropped like this, nor will it be the last time. It's happened to both TRP and HL2RP plenty of times, I doubt this time'll be any different. And the server is far from dead, I've had plenty of enjoyable roleplay the past few days even with the low population.

Well the problem is GMOD is getting old, and the population is just going to dwindle even more. TNB in general needs a new game to RP on.
