Gmod ragdolls spawning as props?

I have no idea what happened, but a bunch of my ragdolls in gmod have been spawning in as props for the past couple months or so, and it's driving me up the wall. No idea what I did for this to happen, and googling it only yields like one or two steam forum discussions, which aren't helpful. I've tried reinstalling the affected addons, reinstalling gmod, and verifying the integrity of the game, and still nothing. Figured I'd come here to ask, since I have no idea what else to do.

Two pictures of the phenomenon below, can get more/lua stuff (Although based on a cursorary glance I don't see any glaring errors in the console) if requested. Anything you can offer will help.

(Excuse the brightness, I usually play on allbright_1 for when I'm initially posing) For some reason I can only manipulate the weird prop/ragdoll things from this little space near the foot, the rest has no collisions. And as you can see, the spawn menu does indeed classify it as a prop.

They might be spawning as entite or some shit idk but this happend when you made a ragdoll into a custiom item back in HLNA

Reminds me when Gmod decided to replace every single footstep sound file with the same singular footstep sound for seemingly no reason.
Might be time to factory reset your game.

I tried that mostly. Reinstalled, verified integrity of the game cache, hell I even tried on a different desktop, and on a laptop. I don't know how much more 'factory reset' I can get

Go into the Gmod folder and press the factory reset .exe for the game.

By reinstall do you mean you gone into the gmod file on your computer and manually deleted it all and then verified your cache? Uninstalling through steam doesn’t delete everything. Also make sure you unsubscribe from all your addons too if you haven’t already

If it’s happening on multiple PC’s then it sounds like it’s almost an issue with the addons you’re subscribed to being downloaded on all your accounts

also are you sure maybe those models you’re trying to use aren’t made intentionally that way? If you can only grab them down there it almost seems like it’s an effect (but the green/yellow circle is missing). Maybe they’re meant to be used as player models for a server by being bound to an invisible player ragdoll?

Do the base HL2 ragdolls and CSS ragdolls do this?

Strangely enough, when I first started having this problem, yes. Now? No. Make of that what you will.

I would still try unsubbing from all addons and manually deleting everything in your gmod folder and then reinstalling

Is that going to fuck my saves? Cause I have a scenebuild going on rn, with a few ragdolls that actually work

I would look up where gmod saves are stored and manually make a backup of them. Same thing for custom third person presets, advanced duplicator saves, post processing saves, etcetera. I know the latter are stored under data.

So long as you copy the saves to a different area on your PC, delete gmod and reinstall it, and then put the copied files back where they were previously I think you should be good

Also make sure you unsubscribe from all your addons too if you haven’t already

Once you unsubscribe from all your addons go into your addon folder and delete everything or just delete the folder itself because some of those addons (especially model/animation/texture replacement addons) won't leave your PC unless you do it yourself.
