The infection continues to ripple through the world at an ever-increasing pace, and your home is seeing a much larger amount of cases than many places around the world. New York City is a tourist beacon, after all. It should only be expected that the infection many have started referring to as 'CES' or 'Crypto-25' takes a major hold here. You're hearing rumors of lockdowns, COVID-era restrictions on travel, maybe even the airports shutting down. The worst is yet to come, as with any sudden pandemic, yet nobody knows yet just how catastrophic this outbreak of 'Cryptomyelic Encephalopathy Syndrome' will be.
Videos have started going viral on the internet. People labeled as 'drug tweakers' killing randoms on the street. Some use knives, some only use their hands and feet and teeth. You've never been able to garner a good look at any of these 'tweaker's' faces, but everyone's gut is able to tell them that something's wrong in the world between this and the rest of the tragic news they see every night on their phones or televisions. Nobody knows just yet how bad it'll become, but those answers rapidly approach New York City with a disaster nobody could've predicted despite their best efforts. Airports have started to slow travel, hospitals are slowly being overwhelmed with people showing flu-like symptoms, and the Department of Homeland Security is opening new centers across this city and the rest of the country to combat the oncoming infection. The worst is yet to come. How will the residents of New York City handle these many new threats coming their way?
The beginning of the struggle. Be there or be square :) Saturday, the 25th, roughly 6PM EST.
