Connecting to server crashes Gmod and logs me out of steam

i load up gmod no problem
i connect to the server the game freezes on retrieving server info then after a good long wait it crashed and im logged out of steam

try verifying cache or uninstalling addons. remember to delete the addons that u uninstall in gmod/gmod/addons as well.

i unsubbed to everything and nuked my 6+ years of adons and that did not fix it imma try reinstalling

yes hello i had this issue

reinstalling steam fixed it for me

e: for those who dont want to lose all ur games and shit, just download the steam installer and run it. it'll fix itself.
