I can't seem to connect to any TnB servers and this is the issue I keep running into when connecting:

Connecting to 208.43.236.123:27015...
Connecting to 208.43.236.127:27015...
Retrying 208.43.236.127:27015...

Connecting to 208.43.236.123:27015...
Retrying 208.43.236.123:27015...
Retrying 208.43.236.123:27015...
Retrying 208.43.236.123:27015...
Connection failed after 4 retries.

Now normally, I wouldn't be concerned and just assume the servers are down. But, they aren't because I have SF friends who say they are connected and playing on the server. This also occurs when trying to connect to the TnB servers, any other server works fine.

I had this issue, mine resolved itself but I do know somethings you can try to see if it resolves it:
1. Delete the clientregistery.blob files in steam and restart steam.
2. Check the download settings bit of your steam and make sure you're connected to a server that's close to you.
3. Add +clientport 270XX, XX being a number between 05 and 30 but not 20, add this to the general settings and launch options of GMod.
For number 3 to work you need to start it from your steam library and not the desktop shortcut.

I too am having this issue, tried all the usual fixes like restarting steam, my pc, deleting clientregistry.blob, but none if it worked. Help, please!

Edit: In my case, it seems like the ping is rising up and down randomly, which made me think it was something to do with a Ddos or something, but others seemed to be able to join the servers fine..

I had the same issue a month or two ago. I can't remember what I did to fix it but it was pretty simple...

Try restarting your router/modem.
