who got it

On discounting, let me just make it really clear right now so all you guys don't have anything to write about on Black Friday. We bring the game
out right before Black Friday, so you will most likely not have discounts at Black Friday that we pay for. That doesn't mean that you might not see
some stores choose to discount games on Black Friday out of their own pockets. We will most likely discount the game like we did last time around
the movie launch, and maybe you'll even see some selected discounts around the holidays, either Thanksgiving or Christmas. That's the way the
games business always has worked. And so if you see the title on discount, don't read anything into that other than the fact that, that's the way
you sell games in the holidays.
Don't buy games full price on release.
Probably buying it. I enjoyed the beta thoroughly, and honestly don't give a shit about microtransactions.
Played the alpha and the beta and now the full game and it’s a lot of fun
Is the "three day early access" the full three days, or is it EA's usual ten hour trial?
Pretty sure it's the whole thing, though I think there's a free trial on origin as well.
It’s the full three days
I'd buy it if I could actually play as the fuckin main characters of star wars without having to grind for hours
When you think that the actual game is the starter stuff because I mean it's the game, but it's not. EA needed a 'starter' pack for extra money.
I'm enjoying the one little Arcade mission I can play while it downloads. The graphics and sound work is spot on, as per usual for DICE. Kylo Ren is a very fun hero.
they tried to pull some shady loot box BS to get characters im holding off an any games from their publisher until they stop being greedy microtransaction cunts
there was some post on plebbit talking through some math about how it takes nearly 40 hours of in game play time to unlock one character
its a trap to encourage u to buy loot boxes that dont even have the garuntee of giving u a character
imo look into the shady shit all tripple A titles do IE activision copyrighting a microtransaction based match making system to sell u more shit
the fact that videogames dont respect your time and yet seem to charge you for it under the guise of it being "optional" irritates me
like in gta online for example if you want to buy one of the super cars its literally a few days worth of painful grinding on the same heist, or in world of warcraft its walking everywhere
where's martin luther when you need him
This is a really solid review.
m-maybe this time i can trust EA because the Star Wars logo is on the box
the campaign was pretty fun and filled some of the missing pieces betweeen the empire strikes back and the Force Awakens. I honestly enjoyed it a lot, it was very fitting of the Star Wars universe. Filled with very serious and tense moments and then some brief comedy. Lots of fun, only thing i wish for was for it to be longer :(
spend $5 or 40 hours to unlock dark vader lol!!
The very principle of this game, even without the microtransactions scheme is kind of disgusting to me. I guess I'm sort of bummed that I'm missing a mildly interesting single-player campaign that's only marginally better than that of any other Star Wars themed polished turds released in the last seven or eight years, but I can get the same experience watching it on Youtube for free.
Joke's on you, guys, I bought this game in 2006.
I'm hung over and I can't shake the sense that this is relevant somehow:
"I allow Sangtiago the last word. Toward the end of her presentation, she shows a visual with six circles, which represent, I gather, the components now forming for her brave new world of video games as art. The circles are labeled: Development, Finance, Publishing, Marketing, Education, and Executive Management. I rest my case."
-Roger Ebert, who went to his grave correctly maintaining that video games are shit
Practically the entire multiplayer progression system is linked to RNG loot crate drops. I only can say what the fuck.
Edit: I also forget to mention that sometimes you can get FUCKING DUPLICATE DROPS OF THE SAME FUCKING CARD YOU ALREADY GOT WHICH JUST GETS CONVERTED INTO MORE FUCKIN CREDITS FOR YOU TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
tbh we should just bankrupt EA by demanding women's fifa and women's NBA
nobody will buy them after they sink millions of dollars
then maybe we'll get a publisher that doesn't choke us down with loot boxes
If you think it's that easy to bankrupt EA, you clearly don't realise that there's a lot of teenage girls out there who are happy to spend hundreds of monies on Sims 4 alone
its too bad i can't use the sad rating
ohh that reminds me i gotta get the rest of the dlc for sims 3 during the winter sale
i dont care about microtransactions, also darth vader and luke skywalker suck massive cock and theyre the only ones you have to unlock via coins and ive ran into people using them countless times
im enjoying it, havent bothered with the campaign yet
e; they reduced their prices significantly
p.s. I call bullshit on anyone refusing to buy EA products because of microtransactions
i got bf1 and ill probably get this later on because i have no self control
Everyone crying about spending 40 hours to get Darth Vader are retarded, running through the campaign and doing the arcade game modes will get you enough credits to buy him. even then, Darth Maul and Kylo Ren are better characters lmfao.
honest question though, aside from better presentation/graphics, what makes this game different from Pandemic's Battlefront II?
pew u better watch ur tongue or ur gonna be watchin out for those wrist rockets...
The new trilogy, Arcade mode, a real campaign mode, more weapons, more heroes, better space sections. The presentation/graphics are a very big part of the jump, I think, too. Pandemic's BF2 was a great game, I poured endless hours into it as a kid, but the controls continue to feel clunky and it does look dated.
Edit: I'm not pleased with all the directions taken by the new game. I absolutely adored the old vehicle system where you could just run up and hop into a speeder, now replaced with a pointstreak style system.
There are 4 weapons per class, to a total of 16(not counting hero classes), I think that might even be less than Battlefront 2015 at release, haven't checked though.
Certainly more than Pandemic's Battlefront, though, which was the question ;)
Pandemic BF2 had the same amount actually, one weapon for each class for each faction, with each era having its own weapons. So 4 weapons per class(droids, empire, rebels, clones), for 4 standard classes, which is also 16. That's not counting upgraded weapons you could get through killstreaks(flechettes etc.), which would make it have more guns.
Keep in mind that's a game that came out in 2005 with a much smaller team too.
Edit: Admittedly most weapons were the same gameplay wise(outside of having their own name and model) except for the super battle droid.
It’s fun af idk why you guys are on the hate train lol. “Micro-transactions” honestly they aren’t that big of a difference, I’m just using the default weapons plus a few bonus cards i got for preordering and I’m maintaining positive k/ds and having a blast.
