Setting: The Setting of this Roleplay would be set in the Year 2179 (Not the shitty AvP Movie Timeline but the Dark Horse Comic line) in space days after the events of the Movie Aliens and the game Aliens: Colonial Marines. The roleplay will mainly focus on the Colonial Marines (The Players) as they would be recruited under the Weyland-Yutani Corp. There the marines would be stationed on a planet that is very similar to Earth, as if it was a basic copy of Earth. As the Marines and would be focused on Setting up Outpost across the planet. Weyland-Yutani Corp. would have restricted areas that the Marines can not go such as the caves. While the Marines are forbidden to look inside the planet, there are strange things happening across the planet as Drones sent out are being destroyed and finding new species of wildlife on the planet until discovering Temples which Weyland-Yutani officials forbids them from examining. As marines will be mostly sent on patrols they encounter strange creatures that would begin to attack patrols (Predators, I'd ask that this is a flag and have Admins/Gamemasters uses this class and not abuse it heavily) as they go throughout the jungle. Weyland-Yutani Corp. Begins to limit supplies and soldiers that the marines will receive as they become test subjects unknowing as they begin to let loose a certain creatures locked away in the caves (Xenomorphs, I recommend the main Xenomorphs are just strictly NPCs that spawned and special classes like PredAlien or the Queen would be only flags that should be available to game masters or admins) and use all three races against each other in game of survival.
Duration: With the story/setting I have layed out, This roleplay will last to two to three months due to it being at moderate pace until it becomes a game of survival. Unless we want to rush everything quickly this roleplay would last about to only one month, if this were to be rushed at a fast pace.
Resources: I'm Currently creating a Basic content pack for this and I shall have a link to the pack very soon. But Beyond the Model, Weapons, and Maps. Beyond that it will have a some weapons/content from both Half Life and the Terminator roleplay content.

I like the idea overall, but I think a sudden shift from everyday marine life to absolute chaos would work out better with an "everyone dies"-style ending (maybe a / the predator decides to try out that shiny, flashing bracelet of his while he's cuddling with a few xenomorphs) - in other words, it'd probably be better to keep it short and sweet rather than stretching it out for months on end. I'd wager not everyone is too familiar with the setting, which means the time inbetween events would be where the server fails to retain attention. There's also an argument to be made somewhere along the lines of "TRP is already a military RP, so AVPRP wouldn't offer anything drastically new", but that's probably too subjective.

You'd need a dedicated staff team to prevent this, one that runs events almost daily (or bi-daily) without dropping AVPRP (we'll need a better name, too...) in favor of TRP, PHL2RP or the upcoming new HL2RP iteration - and pulling staff from those is (probably) not going to happen. You'd overcome that issue pretty easily by condensing the RRP to a weekend, or maybe a single week (plus the previous weekend).

Thanks that actually helps even though I have like the two to three months is I'm gonna change like story wise and have all kinds of shit in it but yeah. I thought a week would most likely be better, but I said a month or two to build a following and a story. I appericate your input and will change the times and such.

Also the arguement that "TRP is Military RP already" is very laughable, considering the only thing that's "Military" about TRP is only the outfits, beyond that it's not really a military rp but an action movie rp that has action set pieces that just repeat 24/7.

It's very subjective, as I've said. Tech-Comm is a clear military faction with a rank-based hierarchy, a chain of command, a clear military organization into different units / squads... It's ultimately a symmetrical fighting force, and most of the everyday RP reflects that and revolves around that. The event format of "missions" or "campaigns" is also only really seen on military RP servers - because it simply works best for those. The original setting is irrelevant here, as no RP-setting-adaptation of a movie, show or game can stay true to the source material without becoming incredibly boring.

Anyway, you'd probably be best off rewatching a few Alien and Predator movies before you go about writing this. Try to figure out what sort of structure they follow - how they reveal the alien, or the predator, in particular -, and then try to mimic that but while keeping your own twist and while leaving room for character interaction and character-based decision-making. Writing up a whole RRP takes a boatload of effort and time, assuming you don't want it to be a total flop (or you happen to be a secret storytelling god).

I briefly confused the title for Monsters vs Aliens

Just gonna jump in here and let you know it wouldnt happen at TNB.

Well, possibly as a short-term RandomRoleplay event server, but nothing more.

The way that AvP scenarios fit together are not well suited to a long-term RP server.

Dont get me wrong, id love to do it, as a huge fan of both - and all the comics too - but from experience id feel comfortable in saying it would be a lot of effort for something which would die pretty quickly.

While Yes it would be a short lived roleplay and I'd like to keep as a long as possible. It just wouldn't happen so I say it would last for maybe a few weeks and I want it to last. But this is TNB, servers die quickly until it's a "Event" Instead of remain consistant like most rival roleplay servers. Hell the old Aliens Versus Predators server had 50+ People until a tragic event that happen causing to go down the drain for good.

And When I had the idea of trying to make this roleplay was to sort of expand on a dying franchise and just let others enjoy the experience of a survival roleplay. Instead just the roleplay of just living one event with maybe 40+ people and then a dead server until another event. I just want to make it remain constant so maybe that roleplay idea while the story I gave was probably event one and more a sample taste of the real deal. But sadly I know that this server will probably never exist but I'm still gonna make a content pack incase someone does try to make that into a roleplay. But in the mean time I'm going to still juggle school and finance shit before I ship off to basics this entire summer.
