You must also observe that simply right click on Gmod in steam -> uninstall doesn't work. Not even delete Local content. What you must do is go to steamapps/username/garrysmod/ and remove the "garrysmod" folder, select, delete. Don't do any GCF stuff. Go to steam after having removed the gmod...
